The UBC Pre-Vet and Animal Welfare Club is thrilled to announce our 6th annual Animal Welfare Conference! This year, our topic is, 'Animal Sentience and Cognition: Reframing our Communication with Animals'. We have invited experts who work in all areas of animal cognition and communication, such as companion animal behaviour analysis and livestock cognition.

We are excited to feature 5 incredible presentations from experts in animal welfare, including our keynote speaker Dr. Alison Vaughan, a researcher studying how technology can be used to better livestock animal welfare and to reduce the environmental impact of farms!
